During June, Nemiroff will donate £1 (US$1.26) from the sale of every Nemiroff De Luxe bottle to the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal.

Yuriy Sorochynskiy, the brand’s CEO, said: “Today, Ukraine is demonstrating the values that Nemiroff has championed for years. Ukrainian people have shown their indomitable spirit, courage and strength in our fight for freedom.

“This charity initiative with our partners is very important for us and we are glad to help the Ukrainians that suffered from the war.”

According to the brand, Google searches for Ukrainian vodka, particularly Nemiroff, have soared in the wake of Russian invasion.

Many of Nemiroff’s employees have become volunteers in various areas of humanitarian support since the war began, with 25 workers joining the army.

Luke Brown, sales director at Oak & Still, added: “We are very proud to represent Nemiroff in the UK. We hope to be able to help our friends and colleagues there with their efforts and contributions to support the people of Ukraine during these difficult times.”

Earlier this year, The Spirits Business spoke to Sorochynskiy on the Russo-Ukrainian war.

We recently caught up with the CEO of Dima’s on the challenges of being a Ukrainian vodka producer in the midst of the war.

The April 2022 issue of The Spirits Business looked at what impact the Russia-Ukraine war will have on the vodka category.
