Amber Beverage Group has expanded its Kah Tequila range with the launch of a new extra añejo bottling.

Kah Extra Añejo is said to represent an ‘evolution’ in the brand’s portfolio. It is the fourth addition to the brand’s range, which includes blanco, reposado and añejo variants.

Matured for a minimum of three years in white American oak barrels, Kah Extra Añejo Tequila offers notes of smooth pepper and smoky wood, with hints of sweet spice, vanilla, honey maple, and caramel.

The expression is said to contain the ‘highest quality aged Tequila available’ and is made at the Fabrica de Tequilas Finos distillery.

Fabrica de Tequilas Finos is home to brands such as Rooster Rojo, Cenote, Nick Jonas’ Villa One and other 100% blue agave Tequilas.

“This is more than just a bottle of delicious, well-made Tequila,” said master distiller Arturo Fuentes. “It symbolises time spent in cultivating the agave plant for years, years spent ageing and nurturing, by the local community and team committed to creating a unique spirit that delights those who taste it.”

The Tequila comes in a clay bottle with deep royal green enamel to signify eternity and fruitfulness from the Mayan times. Furthermore, the label uses phosphorus ink that illuminates the eyes of the calavera skull on the bottle.

Kah Extra Añejo will be available globally, and across the US through both physical and online retailers.

Last year, Amber Beverage Group revealed a global expansion plan for Kah Tequila, launching the brand in Canada, Russia, China and duty free.

In September 2020, the company acquired 220 hectares of agave fields in the Los Altos de Jalisco region of Mexico to support its Tequila production.

Amber Beverage Group also owns Rooster Rojo Tequila, which was launched in the US last year through Pacific Edge Wine and Spirits.
