Toronto bar to offer Vegas-style weddings
By Kate MalczewskiA drinking den in Toronto, Canada, will transform into a wedding chapel next month, offering elopement services inspired by Las Vegas marriage ceremonies.

On 12 and 13 February, Bar Mordecai – a venue styled after the films of director Wes Anderson – is shifting its focus from booze to brides.
The bar will turn its private function room into Vegas-style chapel over Valentine’s Day weekend, catering to couples whose wedding plans have been foiled by the pandemic.
Mordecai’s wedding package includes an officiant, a photographer, florals, a serenade by an Elvis impersonator, a celebratory toast and a 30-minute reception; the couple must bring their city hall marriage license, and can invite up to eight guests to attend.
