The 2021 London Cocktail Week (LCW) event will be held during the entire month of October for the second year in a row. Last month, the festival held a week-long ‘warm-up’ event to support the on-trade.

This year, the festival will host The Essence House, a two-floor drinks experience in Carriage Hall, in Covent Garden’s Floral Street. It will be created by mixer producer The London Essence Company.

The space will incorporate multi-sensory experiences alongside the festival’s main bar, which will offer cocktails created by the world’s leading bartenders.

The collaboration aims to encourage drinkers to rediscover the West End and Covent Garden areas.

Wristbands for the festival are now available to buy for £15 (US$21), which will give consumers the chance to purchase £7 (US$9.60) cocktails at London bars throughout the event.

Participating venues include: Tāyer + Elementary, Blue Bar at The Berkeley, Artesian at The Langham, Lyaness, Sketch, Three Sheets, Bar La Rampa, Sucre and Abajo, Park Row and Hacha Brixton.

The month-long festival will also include masterclasses, pop-ups, bar takeovers, cocktail dinners and parties across London.

Returning for 2021 is the London Cocktail Week At Home delivery service, which will deliver £7 cocktails to consumers’ homes in partnership with The Drinks Drop. Tastings and masterclasses will also be available digitally.

Festival-goers can expect events from LCW partners including Bacardi-Martini, Brown-Forman, Diageo, Edrington, Moët Hennessy, Pernod Ricard and Rémy Cointreau, as well as 30 independent brands.

Furthermore, the organisers have penned an open letter to the on-trade, offering venues the opportunity to get involved in LCW for free, including guest shifts and complimentary wristbands for hospitality workers. To find out more information, visit the London Cocktail Week website.
