The Rock takes Teremana Tequila to Canada
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has launched his ultra-premium Teremana Tequila brand in Canada.
Teremana Tequila will initially be available in Ontario, before being rolled out to British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia.
Johnson announced the news on Instagram by sharing a video clip in which he joined a group of friends during their Zoom ‘happy hour’, who have been requesting Teremana in Canada for some time.
Johnson wrote: “After waiting an entire year, Teremana is available now on www.lcbo.com and in stores in Ontario!
“Thru [sic] the spring and summer we will continue to roll out production in Canadian stores across all provinces.
“Canada, thank you for being patient and enjoy (finally) the most exciting, delicious and record-breaking Tequila in the world.”
Teremana was founded by Johnson, Dany Garcia, Jenna Fagnan and Ken Austin, and launched in March 2020.
The Tequila is produced using 100% Blue Weber agave from the Jalisco highlands. The range currently comprises blanco and reposado expressions.
In December last year, Johnson revealed Teremana was on track to sell 300,000 cases in its first year.
Speaking to The Spirits Business earlier this year, co-founder Fagnan revealed the brand’s ambitions to become a million-case-selling Tequila.
