Australian brand Mr Black Coffee Liqueur has signed a distribution deal with Proof Drinks in the UK.

Mr Black Coffee Liqueur is already available in numerous London bars, including Swift, the American Bar at The Savoy hotel, and Happiness Forgets. The brand had been partnered with Love Drinks for the last five years.

Tom Baker, co-founder of Mr Black, said: “It’s been a real pleasure working with Love Drinks over the last five years. They’re a passionate team who have made an invaluable contribution to Mr Black’s success in the UK.

“We’re excited to join the team at Proof Drinks as we continue our growth in the UK and our company mission to bring craft coffee into the night.”

Distiller Philip Moore partnered with “coffee nerd” and designer Baker to create Mr Black in 2013.

Mr Black Coffee Liqueur originated in Sydney and is described as a “premium cold brew coffee liqueur”.

The brand has also taken inspiration from the amaro category and Australian coffee culture to create Mr Black Coffee Amaro, which launched last year.

In October last year, Mr Black recruited award-winning barista and bartender Martin Hudak as the brand’s global coffee ambassador.
