Mr Black appoints global coffee ambassador

Mr Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur has recruited award-winning barista and bartender Martin Hudak as the brand’s global coffee ambassador.

The new position will see Hudak lead Mr Black’s coffee mixology focus and create links between coffee drinkers, bars, restaurants, retailers, distributors and press.

Before taking up the global coffee ambassador role, Hudak worked as a senior bartender at The American Bar at The Savoy, London, and in 2017 he triumphed in the World Coffee in Good Spirits competition.

Hudak has also competed in the finals of cocktail competitions such as HCGP, Beefeater MIXLDN, Absolut Invite and the national UK final of Diageo World Class.

Tom Baker, co-founder of Mr Black, said: “Martin’s passion for coffee and mixology is absolutely contagious.

“His edge and understanding of coffee, spirits, bartenders and baristas are second to none in the drinks industry. We’re delighted to have him join our mission to take craft coffee into the night.”

Hudak will be hosting seminars at the New York Coffee Festival from 12-14 October at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Following New York, Hudak will return to Australia to judge the World Barista Championship.

He said: “My aim over the years has been to bridge the gap between the world of coffee and cocktails.

“It was the natural and obvious choice for me to join forces with a brand and group of people who believe in this as passionately as myself.”

In April this year, the Australian coffee liqueur brand expanded its portfolio with the launch of Mr Black Coffee Amaro.
