Wine Show Chelsea to enhance focus on spirits

Spirits brands are invited to take part in the upcoming Wine Show Chelsea, taking place in London this October.

Chelsea Old Town Hall will host The Wine Show Chelsea this October

Run by the team behind The Spirits Business’s sister publication, the drinks business, the show will return to the Chelsea Old Town Hall on 18-20 October following the success of two previous events.

Ellie Roberts, of Vineyards Direct, said of the last fair in 2016: “The show has been great for us as it’s been a good chance to talk to people about our business that have a genuine interest in wine. Not many people knew about us that swung by our stand, so the show has been great publicity for our brand and we’ve had very positive feedback from consumers about the wines.”

More than 2,500 drinks fans are expected to attend this year’s event, which will offer a three-day programme of tasting, networking and learning.

This year, the show will feature a greater number of spirits exhibitors and will showcase medallists from The Global Spirits Masters blind-tasting competitions for the first time in a dedicated area.

The Chelsea Old Town Hall will be divided once again into three halls: the main hall will be dedicated to wine producers, while the second hall will host spirits exhibitors, the Global Masters for wine and spirits, beer and the G&T Bar. The third hall will become a Masterclass theatre.

Members of the trade will be invited to attend the show on Friday 18 October from 1pm-5pm. The event will be open to consumers from 1pm-8pm on 18 October, 1pm-7pm on 19 October, and 12.30pm-6pm on 20 October. If you’re a member of the trade, you can register your attendance for free here.

Confirmed spirits exhibitors include Angus Dundee Distillers, with some stands still available to book for a limited time only.
