Harrison and Ridley write World Atlas of Gin

Spirits experts Joel Harrison and Neil Ridley have penned The World Atlas of Gin, which offers a broad view of the international gin boom and the producers behind it.

The World Atlas of Gin is the latest book from Joel Harrison and Neil Ridley

The book explores gins made all over the world, from local small-batch products to large brands owned by multinational distillers.

It also analyses the production processes of gin, from botanical to bottle, and sheds light on some of the best-known gin cocktails.

The book’s publisher, Octopus, said: “This is the definitive guide for everyone and anyone who wants to understand more about gin, its history and production methods, the countries that have helped make it a global success story, and appreciate the best gins the world has to offer.”

The World Atlas of Gin is the third book from Harrison and Ridley, who also penned Distilled (2014) and Straight Up (2017). In addition to writing for a number of publications, the duo regularly appears on Sunday Brunch.

The new book will launch as a hardback in September this year at an RRP of £25 (US$31).
