Wine & Spirits Show to showcase award-winning brands

Visitors to the upcoming Wine & Spirits Show in London will have the opportunity to taste award-winning expressions that expert judges have deemed outstanding examples of their categories.

Herbie Gin won a Master medal in The Gin Masters 2018

The Wine & Spirits Show will take place on 12 and 13 October at The Royal Horseguards Hotel in London.

The event is a collaboration between The Spirits Business and the drinks business teams.

Over the course of the two days, the event will bring leading wine and spirits brands together for an exciting programme of discussion, tasting and learning.

The Wine & Spirits Show will encompass two halls – one dedicated to wine and one to spirits – and will feature a number of masterclasses for the trade and consumers.

In the spirits hall, there will be a Tasting Zone, where visitors can sample award-winning expressions from the Global Spirits Masters – a series of blind tasting competitions assessed by completely independent and expert judges.

The Wine & Spirits Show will take London by storm next month

The Tasting Zone will be manned by some of the judges behind the competition, who can take visitors through the various expressions and tasting processes.

As well as Slane Castle Irish Whiskey, Herbie Gin will be present at the stand. The brand’s Herbie Gin Export expression was awarded the highest accolade the Global Spirits Masters has to offer – Master – in the Super Premium leg of The Gin Masters 2018.

The gin won praise from judges for its “eucalyptus and pine” notes, which the panel agreed would create a “delicious” Martini.

Stay tuned for more information of which award-winning expressions will be showcased at The Wine & Spirits Show’s Tasting Zone.
