Wine & Spirits Show names new exhibitors

The Spirits Business and the drinks business have announced additional spirits exhibitors for the inaugural Wine & Spirits Show in October.

Chelsea Royal London Dry Gin will be available to taste at The Wine & Spirits Show

The event will take place on 12 and 13 October at The Royal Horseguards Hotel in London.

Leading wine and spirits brands will come together for an exciting programme of discussion, tasting and learning.

The Wine & Spirits Show will encompass two halls – one dedicated to wine and one to spirits – and will feature a number of masterclasses for the trade and consumers.

Spirits exhibitors include Amber Glen Scotch Whisky, Bolney’s Rosso Vermouth, Horseguards London Dry Gin, Código 1530 Rosa Tequila, and Orkney Gin Rhubarb Old Tom. For more information on these exhibitors, click here.

A new exhibitor to the show will be Angus Dundee Distillers, which will be placing a focus on its recently launched Chelsea Royal London Dry Gin.

The expression is made from botanicals including juniper, coriander, angelica and liquorice root.

The spirits hall will also host The Spirits Masters Zone, which will be manned by The Spirits Business team and showcase the Spirits Masters competition medallists.

The stand will give visitors the chance to taste Slane Irish Whiskey, which was awarded a Gold medal in The Irish Whiskey Masters.

Produced by Brown-Forman, the expression uses triple cask maturation with virgin oak, seasoned oak and Sherry casks.

The official tonic sponsor for the event will be Double Dutch Drinks. The premium, low-calorie mixer line was launched by Dutch twins Raissa and Joyce de Haas in 2015.

The trade will be welcome from 1-5pm on Friday. The event will open to consumers from 1-9pm on Friday and 12-8pm on Saturday.

Angus Dundee Distillers will also be showcasing its Tomintoul 16 Year Old, Tomintoul Tlàth, Glencadam 13 Year Old, and Glencadam 17 Year Old Triple Cask Portwood Finish.

In 2000, the Glencadam distillery was shut down for three years, and was reopened in the autumn of 2003 by Angus Dundee Distillers. As such, the 13-year-old bottling commemorates “the reawakening” of the distillery.

Tomintoul Tlàth comprises whiskies of “various ages” matured in ex-Bourbon barrels. ‘Tlàth’ is a Gaelic word meaning ‘gentle’ or ‘mellow’, a description said to complement Tomintoul’s positioning as “the gentle dram”.

The family-owned producer is aiming to drive “substantial growth in sales” for its new Chelsea Royal London Dry Gin.
