Berry Bros releases NAS blended malt whiskies globally

British wine and spirits merchant Berry Bros & Rudd has launched four no-age-statement (NAS) blended malt Scotch whiskies as part of its own-label collection.

Berry Bros & Rudd’s four blended malt Scotch whiskies join ‘The Classic Range’

The new releases join the company’s recently relaunched Berry Bros & Rudd London Dry Gin as part of ‘The Classic Range’.

The whiskies were hand-blended by Berry Bros & Rudd spirits buyer Doug McIvor, and brands heritage director Ronnie Cox, and feature liquid sourced from Islay and Speyside.

The Classic Range comprises the Speyside Blended Malt, Islay Blended Malt, Sherry Cask Matured Blended Malt, and the Peated Cask Matured Blended Malt.

Each expression is bottled at 44.2% abv and has an RRP of £32 (US$45) per 700ml bottle. Further flavours and finishes will join the range when “required”.

The blended malts are available from Berry Bros & Rudd in several markets globally, including the US, Canada, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.

McIvor said: “For excellence, I look for balance and complexity, maturity and texture. Equally, age is not king: maturity counts for much more.”

Last month, Berry Bros & Rudd relaunched the Old Potrero whiskey brand in the UK after a 15-year absence.
