Global Spirits Masters Awards Lunch taking place this Friday
The Spirits Business will celebrate the winners from The Global Spirits Masters 2017 this Friday at an awards lunch, taking place ahead of The Spirit Show exhibition in London.
Frederick’s in Islington will host The Global Spirits Masters Awards Lunch 2017
Taking place at London restaurant Frederick’s in Islington on 1 December, The Global Spirits Masters Awards Lunch will see a gathering of industry leaders recognised for their achievements from throughout this year’s blind spirits tasting and assessment competition.
A cocktail reception will kick off proceedings, offering a great opportunity to network and catch up with industry friends. An awards presentation will then be conducted throughout a three-course meal.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming our industry friends, old and new, to our annual Global Spirits Masters Awards Lunch,” said Amy Hopkins, editor of The Spirits Business.
“The competition in 2017 has really gone from strength to strength, with more entries and medals then ever before – a testament to the soaring standards of quality within the industry.”
The Spirits Business will also announce its Grand Spirits Masters and Taste Masters from each individual competition, highlighting the truly outstanding scores of some brands.
Guests will also have the opportunity to sample some of the top medallists at a dedicated tasting bar. They will also receive a complementary trade ticket to attend fast-growing exhibition The Spirit Show London, taking place that same evening at the nearby Business Design Centre in Islington.
Following “remarkable” trade interest at its inaugural show last year, The Spirit Show has added a dedicated trade session to this year’s schedule. Trade-focused marketing will attract wholesalers, off-trade retailers, bar managers, distributors and key industry players.
The drinks expo has also added a Tasting Stage in association with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust to this year’s event.
