Beam Suntory appoints chief strategy and tech officer

Vince Ambrosino has moved from Suntory Holdings to Beam Suntory after being appointed as the company’s senior vice president, chief strategy and technology officer.

Beam has appointed Vince Ambrosino as its chief strategy and technology officer

Ambrosino’s new role has been adapted following the departure of Steve Fechheimer, who left the company in July this year to take up the role of New Belgium Brewing Company’s CEO.

Ambrosino previously worked as executive officer and division COO of the Global Business Development Department at Suntory Holdings, the parent company of Beam Suntory.

Before joining Suntory Holdings in 2015, he spent two years at Beam Suntory, leading the global financial planning and analysis and treasury functions, then served as interim CFO.

Ambrosino first joined Beam Suntory, formed following Suntory’s US$16bn purchase of Beam Inc in 2014, from PepsiCo.

In his new position, which comes into effect on 1 January 2018, Ambrosino will join Beam Suntory’s executive leadership team and will report to CEO Matt Shattock.

“We’re pleased to welcome Vince back to Beam Suntory in this expanded role in which he will be responsible for building and leading our long-term strategic growth and technology agenda,” said Shattock.

Ambrosino has a Master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Beam Suntory also recently promoted Albert Baladi to the newly-created role of chief operating officer and president, Americas.
