Beam Suntory appoints Albert Baladi as COO

Beam Suntory has promoted Albert Baladi to the newly-created role of chief operating officer and president, Americas.

Beam Suntory has named Albert Baladi as chief operating officer

Currently president of the company’s international region, Baladi will oversee Beam Suntory’s global commercial operations while also leading the Americas region.

Tim Hassett, who has served as president of the Americas region for the past three years, has left the company to become CEO of a start-up company outside the spirits industry.

Succeeding Baladi will be Pryce Greenow, who is currently senior vice president, EMEA.

Baladi joined Beam Suntory from Yum! Brands in 2011 as president of EMEA, before becoming President, International in 2015 when the company combined management of its EMEA and Asia Pacific businesses.

Baladi has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout his career, including at Yum! Brands, PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble, and has spent more than a decade working in the United States during that time.

He will be based in Chicago and report to Matt Shattock, chairman & CEO of Beam Suntory.

Pryce’s career progression and strong track record of results position him perfectly to lead our International region.”

Greenow has worked at Beam Sutnory for 13 years. Prior to his current position, Greenow’s commercial leadership roles included MD of Developed Europe, MD of Emerging Markets in South America, and Group General Manager of the US & Mexico.

He will remain based in Madrid and report to Baladi.

Baladi and Greenow will serve on the Beam Suntory Executive Leadership Team, effective immediately.
