Glen Silver’s single malt Scotch hits Europe
By Michael J RitchieSpanish exporter Beveland Distillers has launched a new single malt Scotch whisky brand named Glen Silver’s.
Beveland Distillers has launched a new single malt Scotch whisky brand named Glen Silver’sCreated in a single distillery in Speyside, the new product is made only from malted barley, which has been distilled using Scottish spring water and matured in American oak casks for several years.
Each bottle is made by bringing together a selection of liquids from different casks, enabling each bottle to have the “correct characteristics, best quality and flavour expected of each expression”.
The resulting expression is said to offer an aroma of sugared almonds, stone fruits, and vanilla, with toasted malt, chocolate, almonds and white pepper spice on the palate, and a “creamy, malty” finish.
The serving suggestion is neat or with ice.
Beveland Distillers plans to initially cement Glen Silver’s presence in Europe, before expanding to the US and Asia markets.
Bottled at 40% abv, the whisky is available at an RRP of €28-30.
