Partridges to launch Chelsea Flower Gin

In celebration of its 45th anniversary, London-based grocery store Partridges has collaborated with Dunnet Bay Distillers to launch its first spirit, Chelsea Flower Gin.

Chelsea Flower Gin is the first spirit beverage to be launched by Partridges

The Partridges Chelsea Flower Gin has been created in a collaboration with Dunnet Bay’s master distiller, Martin Murray, and will be released in May to coincide with this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

The expression contains 19 botanicals including rose root, rose water and juniper, to commemorate the historic association between flower nurseries and the Kings Road in Chelsea, home of Partridges flagship store.

John Shepherd, managing director of Partridges, said: “Gin is a quintessential British drink and will be a central piece of the Chelsea Flower jigsaw that promotes all things Chelsea, Partridges and artisan food and drink makers.”

Bottled at 42.5% abv, the drink will be available in a 50cl bottle for £29.95 or a 5cl bottle for £3.99. There will also be a gin & tonic premix in a 275ml bottle for £3.99. £1 from each bottle in the first batch will be donated to local good causes.

In other gin news, Foxhole Spirits is releasing a second batch of its grape-based gin.
