Jägermeister grows exec board to three
By Michael J RitchieMast-Jägermeister has appointed Christopher Ratsch as its latest board member, increasing the size of its executive team to three.
Ratsch, aged 40, will take on the role from 1 May 2017, joining Michael Volke, CEO, and Denis Schrey to complete the executive board. Ratsch will take responsibility for finance, production and administration.
A business administration graduate, Ratsch joins the company after a decade in senior roles at LSG Group in Frankfurt. Most recently he was finance managing director for Germany and vice president of finance, procurement and administration for Europe. Prior to this, he worked for four years at KPMG, an international accountancy firm.
Florian Rehm, chairman of the Mast-Jägermeister SE Supervisory Board, said: “We are delighted Christopher will join Jägermeister. His considerable international experience will make a major contribution to the continued dynamic growth of our global business.”
Jägermeister is the only German spirit to feature in the top 90 of the industry ranking, according to the brand, and is sold today in over 120 countries, with exports accounting for around 80% of total sales.
Earlier this week, Sidney Frank Importing Company changed its name to Mast-Jägermeister US following its takeover by the German firm in 2015.
