Elephant Gin releases navy strength edition
Elephant Gin, which is made using African botanicals and supports the conservation of the African elephant, has added a navy strength expression to its portfolio.
Elephant Strength Gin features the names of seven of the strongest bulls ever to roam Kruger National Park
Elephant Strength Gin is bottled at 57% abv and is said to “amplify” the aromas of the core expression’s botanicals, which include African superfruit baobab, African wormwood and buchu.
The expression’s bottle features the names of the so-called ‘Magnificent Seven’ – the strongest bull elephants known to Kruger National Park in South Africa: Kambaku, João, Dzombo, Mafunyane, Ndlulamithi, Shawu, and Shingwedzi, who have all now died.
In line with the core variant, Elephant Strength Gin is crafted in Germany and features a custom-made bottle with hand-written labels. However, this edition’s labels have blue accents and a map of the ocean.
Elephant Strength Gin is available exclusively from The Whisky Exchange for one month from 1 March.
In November last year Elephant Gin launched a series of limited edition sloe gin bottles decorated with handmade bead jewellery crafted by the Kenyan Maasai tribe.
