Chase creates coffee-flavoured vodka

Herefordshire-based Chase Distillery has unveiled a limited edition coffee-flavoured vodka, exclusively available from British retailer John Lewis.

Chase Espresso Vodka is made with the brand’s original potato vodka and Ethiopian coffee beans, roasted locally to the distillery to form the “intensely rich” base of the expression.

It is slowly distilled through the distillery’s pure copper still Ginny, then cold-brewed, chill-filtered and carefully blended with the distillate to add an “exquisite depth of complexity” to the vodka.

On the nose, it is described as “rich milk chocolate, vanilla honey with the unmistakable scent of dark roast coffee”.

While on the palate, it has sweet notes of “apricot, honey and dark muscovado sugar”, which give way to an “intense bitterness of dark chocolate and a creamy vanilla finish”.

The limited edition vodka is available from John Lewis stores and online. It is bottled at 40% abv and carries an RRP of £40 for 700ml.

In October last year, Chase Distillery launched Chase Eureka Lemon Marmalade Vodka, exclusively available from Harvey Nichols.
