William Grant targets growth with new role
Glenfiddich Scotch whisky producer William Grant & Sons has snapped up former Pernod Ricard director Victor Jerez as its group business development director, a new role.
Victor Jerez will “identify specific growth opportunities” for William Grant & Sons
Jerez – who worked at French drinks group Pernod Ricard for 10 years, most recently as global director, group strategy and M&A – will take up the newly created position at William Grant & Sons on 1 March.
He will support the firm’s new CEO Simon Hunt and sit on its executive board.
Hunt said Jerez’s position was formed to “identify specific growth opportunities” and build the “strength and sustainability” of the organisation.
“Victor is a highly experienced commercial leader with extensive international drinks industry experience so I’m sure he will add tremendous value to our business,” he added.
In June 2016, William Grant & Sons appointed Ed Cottrell as managing director for global travel retail.
