Long-standing celebrity haunt The Ivy has opened its latest venue, The Ivy Soho Brasserie, with a playful drinks offering comprising flaming cocktails, luminous libations and a boozy homage to the late Dick Bradsell.

‘Burning Passion’ is one of The Ivy Soho Brasserie’s exclusive new cocktails

Situated on Broadwick Street in London’s Soho, the new venue is clad with artworks inspired by the street’s most famous resident – poet, painter, and printmaker William Blake, born there in 1757.

The focus on the surrounding history of the area extends to the exclusive cocktail list, designed by bar manager Kevin Knee.

The menu features ‘Dick’s Drink’, a homage to late Soho bartender Dick Bradsell and his creation the Espresso Martini, featuring home-made vanilla vodka, Expre Tossolini espresso liqueur and fresh espresso.

‘Social Smoker’ sees rare breed fat-washed Bulleit Bourbon stirred with The Ivy Soho Brasserie sweet vermouth blend, Angostura bitters and liquid hyckory smoke, poured from a cherry wood smoked carafe; while ‘Free Love’ combines Expre Tossolini espresso liqueur, Havana Especial rum, amaretto Saliza and Baileys, lenghtened with cream and milk.

Lighter libations include the Winter Pear Bellini, comprising Fresh Williams pear topped with Prosecco.

The interior of the venue – which comprises a café lounge area, dining bar, main restaurant and private dining room – has been designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio to follow the distinctive style of The Ivy Collection sites.

Notable features include an onyx bar, pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet panel flooring and a mixture of burnt orange leather banquettes and bar stools.
