Brooklyn bar creates ‘man bun’ booze offer

Brooklyn bar Boobie Trap has taken aim at the ‘man bun’ hairstyle trend with a special offer: chop it off for a free bottle of booze.

According to reports, the neighbourhood hangout is keen to stamp out the notorious “hipster” hairstyle as a new year rolls around.

The bar posted a pink sign on its door stating the terms of the ‘Man Bun Special’ after Christmas: ‘one full booze bottle in exchange for one bun removal…!’

“We’d film the amputation and pin the bun up on the wall,” Boobie Trap co-owner Kristen North told Brokelyn. “I don’t think they’re cute and just think I’ve seen way too many of them last season and want to help along a new style sensation.”
