Alan Lodge Drinks Writer Award entries open

Talented journalists, bloggers and columnists from the spirits, wine and beer sectors are being called upon to enter The Alan Lodge International Young Drinks Writer of the Year Award.

Entrants must submit three pieces of writing, published online or in print

Entrants have until Friday 17 March to submit up to three pieces of writing which must have been published online or in print between 1 January and 31 December 2016.

Open to journalists, bloggers and columnists under the age of 35, the award is assessed by an independent panel of judges.

Launching in 2012 in memory of the late deputy editor of The Spirits Business, Alan Lodge, the award celebrates journalistic talent within the drinks industry. This year, the award has expanded to include the beer and wine sectors in addition to spirits.

The winner of The Alan Lodge Young International Drinks Writer of the Year accolade will be announced at The Drinks Business Awards, set to take place during the London Wine Fair in May 2017.
