Asterley Bros debuts ‘unique blend’ of amaro

London-based spirits maker Asterley Bros has launched Dispense Amaro, crafted by combining a “unique blend” of 24 botanicals with the brand’s signature vermouth.

Dispense Amaro is made from 24 botanicals including gentian, hops and wormwood and combined with the brand’s vermouth

Produced from British Pinot Noir supplied by Gusbourne Estates in Kent; the amaro takes over three months to make using traditional techniques before being bottled and labelled by hand.

The new offering is made from botanicals including gentian, hops and wormwood and combined with the brand’s vermouth.

Dispense Amaro is described as “rich, bitter orange aromas on the nose, moving on to candied grapefruit and gentian before the spice notes of cardamom and clove develop”.

The amaro is recommended served as either with tonic, added to a gin and tonic or with a single cube of ice.

The brand is the work of hospitality professionals Rob and Jim Asterley, who were handed their Sicilian family’s secret recipe for Amaro, and aimed to try to recreate the drink to appeal to a new generation.

Dispense Amaro is available online at the RRP of £29.95 for a 500ml bottle.
