Saint James auctions Agricole bottling at RumFest

Caribbean pure cane rum producer Saint James Rum raised £3,100 for charity by auctioning a 10-year-old single cask agricole rum at this year’s tenth annual UK RumFest.

Crafted from a 2006 harvest, the 10yo rum raised £3,100 for charity

Sponsored by auction house Christie’s, The Rum Auction saw precious and rare rums sold off to the highest bidder to raise money for charity.
In celebration of the festival, launched a decade ago by global rum ambassador Ian Burrell, Saint James Plantations oenologist Marc Sassier search the ageing cellars in Martinique to uncover the “perfect” 10-year-old rum to mark the event’s milestone anniversary.
Crafted from a 2006 harvest and aged in oak casks, the “pure and concentrated” expression was bottled at 69.6% abv.
