Rock band AC/DC launches Thunderstruck Tequila

Ahead of the final leg of their Rock or Bust world tour, rock band AC/DC has partnered with Fabrica de Tequilas Finos to launch Thunderstruck Tequila.

Rockers AC/DC have announced the launch of Thunderstruck Tequila

Perryscope Productions and Epic Rights, the licensing and merchandising companies that represent AC/DC, have collaborated with Fabrica de Tequilas Finos to create the line of three Tequila expressions.

The launch marks AC/DC’s first real foray into spirits branding, having previously released Rock Or Bust beer, Hells Bells and Back In Black wine, and a Bourbon and cola RTD – of which some of the profits were donated to the band’s charitable fund, Let There Be Rock.

Available in Silver, Reposado and Añejo varieties, Thunderstruck Tequila is made from organically-produced 100% Blue Weber agave at Fabrica de Tequilas Finos’ distillery in the town of Tequila, Mexico.

Thunderstruck Tequila will retail from US$29.99 to US$39.99, and is scheduled to hit shelves in mid-2016.

In January this year, Jack Daniel’s launched a limited edition single barrel expression to celebrate 40 years of Motörhead in homage to the rock band’s late founder, Ian Fraser “Lemmy” Kilmister.
