Drake gives first glimpse of own whiskey brand

Canadian musician Drake has taken to Instagram to reveal further details of his new whiskey venture, Virginia Black Whiskey.

Rapper Drake unveiled the bottle design of his new whiskey venture on Instagram

After hinting at the project back in February, the Hotline Bling star posted a photo of the finished bottle design on his @champagnepapi account.

Keeping coy about the exact launch date and any pricing details, the photo was simply captioned “First look” and depicts a carved glass bottle design with a ‘VB’ black and gold embossed label.

A second Instagram snap was also shared on the official Virginia Black Whiskey Instagram page, captioned “#decadence”, and showing the upper half of the bottle design.

Drake – born Aubrey Drake Graham – is the latest in a long line of celebrity spirit launches.

Justin Timberlake founded his Sauza 901 Tequila brand back in 2009, while actor George Clooney launched Casamigos Tequila back in 2013.

In other celebrity news, Snoop Dog partnered with cachaça brand Cuca Fresca to make the spirit a household name and emulate the success of fellow musician and Cîroc investor Sean “Diddy” Combs.
