Snoop Dogg to make cachaça a household spirit

Rapper Snoop Dogg has partnered with cachaça brand Cuca Fresca in a bid to both make cachaça a household name and emulate the success of fellow entertainer and Ciroc investor P. Diddy.


Snoop Dogg apparently became a fan of cachaça and Cuca Fresca following a trip to Brazil to shoot his Beautiful video

Snoop Dogg, who has had hits such as Snoop Doggy Dog and Beautiful, has become an ambassador and shareholder of Cuca Fresca, a premium artisanal cachaça.

Cuca Fresca and Snoop Dogg have since partnered with Spirits Consulting Group (SCG) in the US to assist a roll-out across the country.

Snoop Dogg said: “I’m excited to partner with the good people at Cuca Fresca. I have mad love for the Brazilian people and culture, and look forward to spreading the word about cachaça and the cool vibes of the country to the US.”

Cuca Fresca claims cachaça is one of the fastest-growing spirits categories in the US, and is “poised to be the next ‘it’ spirit” on the market.

“Snoop’s reputation for being on the cutting edge of what is cool combined with his dedicated fan base will help create world-wide brand awareness for Cuca Fresca,” said Phoenix Kelly-Rappa, CEO of Cuca Fresca.

“We are thrilled to be entering into this unprecedented partnership and can’t wait to make Cuca Fresca, and cachaça, a household name.”

Snoop Dogg follows other rappers into the spirits investment space, including Ludacris with Conjure Cognac and P. Diddy with Ciroc.
