Drake ‘to launch own whiskey’
Canadian rapper Drake is preparing to launch his own whiskey brand, if a recent Instagram post is to be believed.
Rapper Drake could be preparing to launch his own whiskey brand
The Summer Sixteen and Hotline Bling artist posted a message on his @champagnepapi account yesterday, appearing to announce the launch of Virginia Black Whiskey.
“After that legendary moment what else is there to do but celebrate with class. Virginia Black coming soon…” the post reads, alongside what is presumed to be the whiskey brand’s logo.
Drake, born Aubrey Drake Graham, will join a stellar line-up of celebs-turned-spirits-moguls if the launch comes to fruition. To name just a few, Justin Timberlake founded his 901 Tequila brand in 2009, the same year Ludacris developed Conjure Cognac. Snoop Dogg is an ambassador and shareholder of Cuca Fresca, while in 2014, P.Diddy added Deleón to his business drinks cabinet alongside his Cîroc responsibilities.
