Giffard launches new coffee syrup flavour

French liqueurs and syrup supplier Giffard has released Chocolate Cookie Syrup, the latest variant in its coffee syrups range.

Chocolate Cookie Syrup is made from natural cocoa aromas with no preservatives.

Dark brown in colour with caramel shades, the syrup is said to offer “chocolate notes at first with biscuit notes on the finish”.

Wider tasting notes include a “typical note of cookie dough” and “a delicious taste enhanced by the chocolate touch”.

Recommended serving suggestions include in hot and cold drinks, and as a dessert topping.

The product can also be used in cocktails. Giffard beverage innovator Timoty Jasson Antony recommends the Old Style Cookie (10ml Chocolate Cookie Syrup, 5ml Blueberry Syrup, 45ml aged or spiced rum, a dash of bitter, and orange zest).

Chocolate Cookie Syrup is available in a 1-litre format.

Earlier this year, Giffard partnered with Speed Rack to create a liqueur to raise funds for breast cancer research.
