Steven Soderbergh launches Bolivian spirit brand
Steven Soderbergh, director of blockbuster hits Magic Mike and Ocean’s Eleven, has launched new Bolivian spirit brand Singani 63 in the US.

Soderbergh has been attempting to import a new brand of Bolivia’s “national spirit”, Singani – distilled from the white muscat of alexandria grape – for seven years after he discovered it while filming Che in Bolivia.
With origins dating back to the 16th century, Singani is a geographical indication pomace brandy produced exclusively in the Bolivian Andes.
Singani 63 – named after Soderbergh’s birth year – is produced at the Casa Real distillery and is said to have a “medium-weight, lushly textured body and an enticing floral bouquet with light spicy notes”.
A new campaign for the brand runs with the tagline: “I am Steven Soderbergh, and I not only endorse this product, I’m having some right now.”
Singani 63 is imported by a the wholly owned importing company Singani 63, based in New York.
