Grey Goose renews sports awards sponsorship
Grey Goose vodka will return for a second year to sponsor the 2015 ESPYs (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award) celebrating the year’s top achievers.
Grey Goose vodka is sponsoring the ESPYs awards for the second consecutive year
As associate sponsor of the 23rd annual awards ceremony presented by Capital One, Grey Goose will feature as the official vodka of the The Body and ESPYS pre-event party recognising athletes who “Fly Beyond” in their sporting accomplishments and acknowledging those who help them along the way.
The vodka brand will take part in a week of events that will kick-start with the ESPY Celebrity Golf Classic at the Pelican Hill Golf Club on 14 July.
Grey Goose will also host the Grey Goose Lounge at The Body at ESPYs plus a backstage lounge during the show on 15 July, which will serve original Grey Goose cocktails such as the signature High Five drink – a blend of Grey Goose vodka, watermelon juice, coconut water, lime juice and a habanero pepper.
Furthermore, Grey Goose has filmed numerous short vignettes that will appear on the ESPN website and during the ESOYs programming throughout July, allowing viewers to go behind the scenes and look at what goes on in their favourite athlete’s minds during their top performances from the year, just before an important match and their outlook on inspiring teammates.
For example, the brand collaborated with Robbie Rogers, LA Galaxy football player who became the inaugural openly homosexual man to compete in a top North American professional sports league.
The video shares Rogers’ story and honours his mentor Shaun Higgins who played a significant role in guiding Rogers in the early stages of his career.
