Butterfly Brands moves UK distribution to Mangrove

Butterfly Brands, owner of Skipper Rum and Polish vodka Davna, has changed UK distributor from Marblehead Brand Development to Mangrove.

Skipper Rum owner Butterfly Brands has signed a new UK distribution deal with Mangrove

Effective from today, 1 July, the move comes as the final step in Quintessential Brand’s acquisition of UK brand developer and distributor Marblehead in July last year.

“The Marblehead team has done an excellent job with these brands, we now look forward to continued success with our new distribution partner, Mangrove,” commented Ricky Agnew, managing director of Butterfly Brands.

Mangrove also took over the UK distribution of Pink Pigeon rum and The King’s Ginger liqueur in June 2014.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Butterfly Brands as their new distributor,” said Nick Gillett, MD of Mangrove.

“Skipper Rum has an established following in the premium on-trade whilst Davna Vodka, with its high quality flavour range, offers a real point of difference in vodka.”

In January, Quintessential Brands appointed Gonzales Byass UK’s former marketing director as its new MD of Marblehead.
