Quintessential Brands expands into Asia Pacific

Quintessential Brands has appointed Jon Band and his company Drinks Pty to represent the international drinks group as it expands into the Asia Pacific region.

Situated in Sydney, Australia, Band’s appointment is the latest step in Quintessential Brand’s on-going strategy to “build an international business with world-class brands” through its investments in the Asia Pacific region.

Band’s main roles will include working closely with the Quintessential Brands team to help introduce its world-class portfolio of drinks brands to the region, including Greenall’s The Original London Dry Gin, Ophir Oriental Spiced Gin, Feeney’s Irish Cream Liqueur and The Dubliner Irish Whiskey Liqueur.

In addition, he will lead new product development into new Asian markets.

“The appointment of Jon Band and GAP Drinks offers use an excellent opportunity to grow further in the global market,” commented Warren Scott, Quintessential Brands’ co-founder and director.

“With Jon’s experience and strong networks in the region, he is very well places to help with out continued growth as an independent player in the global spirits industry.

“Jon will help build our route to market capability as well as opening up new opportunities for ourselves in other dynamic spirits and liqueurs categories.”

Band has spent the last 15 years in the Asia Pacific region in various roles including leading whisky development across the region for The Glenmorangie Company, managing the Heineken business in Japan and supporting Pinnacle Drinks in Australia develop its spirits portfolio.
