Gordon Castle Gin launches at Royal Highland Show
By Becky PaskinThe owner of Scotland’s Gordon Castle is to launch a super-premium gin using botanicals such as mint and lavender sourced from within the grounds’ walled garden.
Gordon Castle Gin features botanicals grown from within the walled garden of Gordon CastleGordon Castle Gin is the first product created by the house to be launched nationwide, and will be distributed by spirit retailer Gordon & MacPhail.
Unveiled this week at the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh (19-22 June), where it will be available on the Gordon & MacPhail stand, Gordon Castle Gin (42% abv) features gooseberry, mint and lavender among its botanicals.
Angus Gordon Lennox, owner of Gordon Castle, said: “It is with great pleasure that we launch our Gordon Castle Gin this week. Our ambitious walled garden restoration continues at Gordon Castle and an extensive range of luxury food, drink and lifestyle products is in the pipeline, but we wanted to showcase the gin as our brand leader.”
The Gordon Castle collection includes luxury products such as blackcurrant jam, rosemary oatcakes and a range of bath and beauty products.
“The mix of botanicals, grown in the garden here at Gordon Castle, gives it a uniquely crisp and fresh flavour and we are quietly confident that this small batch, hand-crafted gin will appeal to all gin drinkers who also love provenance, history and a romantic story,” Lennox added.
Gordon Castle Gin is available for an RRP of £32.99.
