At the Art Antiques London charity gala dinner on 10 June, a bottle of Glenmorangie Duke of York’s Special Reserve will be available as part of a silent auction raising funds for the charity Children in Crisis.

In 1997, The Duke of York – Price Andrew – visited the Glenmorangie Distillery in Tain, Ross-shire, where a special cask of Glenmorangie was laid down in his name.

Another bottle from the same cask was auctioned last year for £45,000.

Koy Thomson, chief executive of Children in Crisis, said: “Education is the key to children’s futures and peace in the communities in which they live.

“We hope that auctioning the Duke of York’s Special Reserve Whisky will raise vital funds for Children in Crisis to continue our work. We cannot thank him enough.”

The Duke of York’s Special Reserve, described as having a flavour of orange, vanilla and almond, has been aged in American white oak for 14 years.

The Art Antiques dinner will be co-hosted by Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie of York.

Children in Crisis, established in 1993, provides children in some of the world’s poorest countries with the education they need to help transform their lives.
