Bowmore Laimrig 2014 edition launches in UK

The 2014 edition of Bowmore Laimrig is to be sold exclusively in The Whisky ShopThe expression, which was first launched three years ago, has been aged for 15 years in Sherry butts and bottled at case strength.
Adopting the Scottish Gaelic name for “pier”, Laimrig pays homage to Islay distillery Bowmore’s ancient stone pier where its whisky would have first been exported across the world.
The bottling is described as having a flavour of chocolate, Sherry, rasins and smoke.
“Laimrig was first released three years ago as part of our portfolio of limited editions and quickly became a favourite of Bowmore enthusiasts around the globe,” said Hannah Fisher, global senior brand manager at parent company Morrison Bowmore Distillers.
“As such, The Whisky Shop is the perfect partner to showcase this year’s release.”
Bowmore Laimrig, bottled at 53% abv, will be available from The Whisky Shop’s 22 stores nationwide as well as its online store at an RRP of £70.
