Whisky Lounge launches pop-up festival in London
The Whisky Lounge had partnered with London’s Oval Space to launch The London Whisky Weekender, a pop-up whisky festival running 16-18 May 2014.
The inaugural London Whisky Weekender will take over The Oval Space in Bethnal Green this May
Featuring a number of well-known and craft whisky brands from across Scotland, Ireland, India and the US, the London Whisky Weekender will take over the Oval Space in Bethnal Green with sampling opportunities and cocktails for three days.
As part of the event, an exclusive tasting of rare, pre-World War Two whiskies on the Oval Space rooftop will be offered, overlooking one of the last remaining Blitz sites in London.
Also featured is a pop-up cocktail bar by Jameson, which will takeover over the neighbouring Pickle Factory with a selection of picklebacks, live music and BBQ, while a variety of street food pop-ups on The Oval will also be available.
An “East-end” whisky cocktail bar will also feature, courtesy of Lounge Bohemia.
