Only one in a million people are affected by this rare and aggressive form of blood cancer.
Her colleagues have since embarked on a year-long campaign to raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
Lisa Duckenfield, who is leading the campaign, said: “We are appealing to colleagues, friends, family and Leanne’s many contacts in the drinks industry.
“Leanne is very appreciative of these efforts. They make a real difference and give her strength to keep fighting.
“Cellar Trends is 100% supporting a series of fundraising events as befits a family company that works together and supports all their team.”
The group is set to hold a fundraising boot camp in Spain when team members visit one of their brands, Licor 43, for an educational session.
The campaign will culminate in the Run to the Beat, a combined running and music charity event in London’s Wembley Park on September 14
Cellar Trends has already raised £2,500 for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, the UK’s leading charity dedicated to improving the lives of patients with all types of blood cancer, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Further donations can be made at Lisa’s JustGiving page.
