Bacardi extends Glen Deveron duty free collection
Bacardi is extending listings for its Glen Deveron Royal Burgh collection of single malt whiskies across several European airports in partnership with Heinemann.
Bacardi is extending the travel retail listings of its Glen Deveron Royal Burgh collection of single malt whiskies
The series of three single malts, including a 16-year-old, 20-year-old and 30-year-old, initially launched as a travel retail exclusive in April last year.
Its duty free distribution will now be extended to some “key” airports including Frankfurt, Copenhagen and Oslo.
For the collection’s original travel retail launch, Bacardi focused on airports across the UK and Spain.
“The Glen Deveron Royal Burgh Collection is expressly designed for the specific demands of discerning malt whisky lovers in the travel retail channel,” said Aude Rocourt, regional director of Europe for Bacardi Global Travel Retail.
“Our innovation with this series of beautiful single malts enables us to orchestrate clear traveller differentiation, with an extraordinary and unique channel exclusive that further enhances the compelling reasons to shop in travel retail.”
The Royal Burgh Collection was named to commemorate the Royal Burgh of Banff, an ancient seaport beside the distillery. The three expressions have been created using rare, previously unreleased whisky aged in sherry casks from the distillery’s private reserves.
The Glen Deveron Royal Burgh Collection are now in all Heinemann stores at airports including Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Oslo, Hamburg and Istanbul.
