Kilchoman releases first travel retail exclusive
By Amy HopkinsIslay Scotch whisky brand Kilchoman has released its first travel retail exclusive, called Coull Point.
Kilchoman Scotch whisky has released its first travel retail exclusive – Coull PointDescribed as having strong peaty aromas and a sweet flavour of fruit and vanilla, Coull Point (46% abv) will roll out across 14 World of Whisky shops in UK duty free.
“We are delighted to get a listing with World of Whisky duty free,” said Anthony Wills, managing director of the Kilchoman Distillery. “It’s a great platform to build awareness for our brand and introduce Kilchoman to new whisky drinkers.”
In line with the distillery’s previous expressions, Coull Point is named after an Islay landmark – a rugged headline two miles north of the Kilchoman Distillery.
Carrying an RPR of £44.99, the new expression is now available from World of Whiskies shops at Heathrow T1-T5, both terminals at Gatwick and Manchester, Stansted, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
In September last year, Kilchoman released its oldest whisky to date – a limited edition 2007 vintage.
The distillery itself was built and founded in 2005 by Wills on a farm on the west coast of Islay. It is currently the island’s youngest distillery.
