Kilchoman releases first travel retail exclusive
Islay Scotch whisky brand Kilchoman has released its first travel retail exclusive, called Coull Point.
Described as having strong peaty aromas and a sweet flavour of fruit and vanilla, Coull Point (46% abv) will roll out across 14 World of Whisky shops in UK duty free.
“We are delighted to get a listing with World of Whisky duty free,” said Anthony Wills, managing director of the Kilchoman Distillery. “It’s a great platform to build awareness for our brand and introduce Kilchoman to new whisky drinkers.”
In line with the distillery’s previous expressions, Coull Point is named after an Islay landmark – a rugged headline two miles north of the Kilchoman Distillery.
Carrying an RPR of £44.99, the new expression is now available from World of Whiskies shops at Heathrow T1-T5, both terminals at Gatwick and Manchester, Stansted, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
In September last year, Kilchoman released its oldest whisky to date – a limited edition 2007 vintage.
The distillery itself was built and founded in 2005 by Wills on a farm on the west coast of Islay. It is currently the island’s youngest distillery.
