Johnnie Walker to take limelight at Oscars

Johnnie Walker will be the star of the night at the Oscars this weekend, as Diageo hosts the official awards bar with its luxury spirits portfolio.

Johnnie Walker will take centre stage of Diageo’s luxury brands portfolio at this weekend’s Oscars eremony

Diageo will be exclusively presenting its Sterling Wines and luxury spirit brands portfolio to the Hollywood elite at the 86^th Oscars awards on 2 March.

While Baileys and Cîroc make an appearance at the awards and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Governors Ball after party in a variety of cocktails, Diageo will be giving Johnnie Walker blended Scotch pride of place.

As guests pass from the red carpet to the Dolby Theatre, they will be passed a Blood and Sand cocktail featuring Johnnie Walker.

As the night progresses, Diageo will be hosting a Johnnie Walker Scotch whisky bar at the Governors Ball, which will offer serves of Johnnie Walker Platinum and Johnnie Walker Blue Label over hand carved ice.

“The Oscars is a celebration of the world’s finest and most creative cinematic talent and we are thrilled to toast their accomplishments with the very best that our luxury wines and spirits portfolio has to offer,” said Peter McDonough, chief marketing officer for Diageo.

The 85^th Oscars will be broadcast live from 7pm on ABC on 2 March.
