Courvoisier releases Year of the Horse decanter
Courvoisier is commemorating the start of the Year of the Horse with the release of a limited edition L’Essence de Courvoisier decanter.
L’Essence-Year-of-the-Horse has been released by Courvoisier to celebrate the Chinese New Year
To mark the start of the Chinese New Year and the Year of the Horse, Courvoisier has created a zodiac-inspired bottle as part of its L’Essence de Courvoisier collection, called L’Essence Year of the Horse.
The limited edition brown decanter features an engraved image of Napoleon riding his horse, is edged with a soft brown leather harness and topped with a crystal stopper inspired by Napoleon’s signet ring.
Each bottle will be contained in a wooden trunk and will be individually numbered.
“L’Essence de Courvoisier is a precious and exquisite Cognac — the jewel in the crown of Courvoisier collection — and we are excited to be launching a limited edition bottle in celebration of the Chinese New Year,” said Claire Richards, director of world whisky and Cognac at brand owner Beam.
“The horse is a universal symbol of victory, drive and passion and is a perfect representation of the heritage of Courvoisier and the revolutionary spirit symbolised by Napoleon.
“As such, the onset of this Chinese New Year was the perfect time to unveil an exclusive release and commemorate the Year of the Horse.”
L’Essence Year of the Horse is now available in limited quantities in select US and international markets at an RRP of $3,500.
The Spirits Business recently compiled a list of horse-inspired drinks to mark to start of the Year of the Horse.
