By Amy HopkinsMarvin Humes, member of boy band JLS, has created a cocktail inspired by his wife, The Saturday’s singer Rochelle Humes.
Marvin Humes’ Smirnoff-based cocktail, called the Rochelle Sundae, was inspired by his pop star wifeAt a party hosted by Smirnoff in Covent Garden last week, Marvin told Reveal magazine that his fruity mix was “inspired by my love of Rochelle and reminds me of when we first met”.
The aptly named Rochelle Sundae consists of 35ml Smirnoff No.21, 100ml of cherry juice, 10ml of elderflower cordial, and three fresh strawberries or strawberry jam.
The ingredients should be mixed in a shaker, poured over ice cubes in a tall sundae glass, garnished with a slice of strawberry, and served with two straws.
Marvin also shared some cocktail-making tips for the aspiring host with the magazine: “Cocktails don’t have to be served out of traditional glasses.
“When you’re finished with jam jars, keep them for parties. Not only are they perfect for shaking cocktails in, but they add a twist to the ordinary.
Marvin and Rochelle, member of girl band The Saturday’s, married in 2012. Their daughter Alaia-Mai was born in May this year.
