Chase gets in the Christmas mood with Marmalade Vodka
By Amy HopkinsThe booming flavoured vodka market has received a festive push with the return of Chase Marmalade Vodka.
Chase Marmalade Vodka is made from a Seville orange conserve handmade by the distilleryChase Marmalade Vodka is a flavoured version of the Herefordshire distillery’s original potato vodka marinaded with Seville orange marmalade, a conserve handmade by the distillery.
After marination, the spirit is then further distilled in a rectification column, where the resulting vapours pass through fresh Valencian orange peel.
“Our spirits are all inspired by quintessentially British flavours, and what’s more typically British than marmalade? It’s completely natural, straight from the farm,” said William Chase, of Chase Distillery.
Chase Marmalade Vodka is described as having aromas of “orange and lemon marmalade on toast”, flavours which are “subtle, fruity and tangy”, and a “rich bitter-sweet” finish.
Bottles will be available in the UK at an RRP of £35 from Waitrose, Gerry’s of Soho, Harvey Nichols and select independent retailers.
