Dawn Davies leaves The Whisky Exchange
The Whisky Exchange has revealed Dawn Davies MW has stepped down from her role as commercial buying director to pursue new challenges.
Davies has spent more than 10 years with the London-based business after joining as head buyer in 2015.
She was recognised as one of the best in her field in the UK as part of The Spirits Buyers Supplement 2026.
Natalie Tennent, managing director at The Whisky Exchange, said: “Since she came on board as head buyer in September 2015, Dawn and her small buying team have built an exceptional and award-winning portfolio of whiskies, spirits and fine wines, helping The Whisky Exchange to become a leading whisky and spirits retailer with customers all around the world.
“And she didn’t stop there. She’s also been instrumental in building our award-winning shows, ensured the shops continue to flourish and, most recently, led the trade team through a difficult period for the entire industry.
“Dawn will certainly be missed at The Whisky Exchange, and we wish her all the success in her next endeavours.”
Davies was awarded Woman of the Year at The Drinks Business Awards 2025.
She also played an integral part in The Whisky Exchange’s rebrand at the end of 2025.
The retailer was snapped up by Pernod Ricard in 2021, along with distribution company Speciality Drinks and Whisky.Auction.
