London’s Laki Kane to return
Laki Kane will reopen in a new venue in central London following the closure of its Islington site in August 2025.

The tiki-themed bar closed for a venue refresh in April 2025, with its permanent closure following shortly after.
The brand will permanently take over a space in The Breakfast Group’s Burlock Rum Room site on Oxford Street from late March.
The Breakfast Group’s other venues include Lucy Wong and 68 & Shanghai, both in London. The group says that each venue in its portfolio maintains its own identity while benefiting from the expertise of the wider hospitality team.
Laki Kane will once again offer its Spirit of Tiki Brunch, rum tasting experiences, rum-making workshops, and cocktail masterclasses inspired by co-founder Georgi Radev’s book Let’s Get Tropical.
Celebrity chef Collin Brown is behind the food menu, which is Caribbean-inspired and designed to complement the rum programme. Dishes include rum barbecue wings with June plum and lime, jerk chicken with sweet and sour miso, salt fish fritters with mango chilli, and the signature Laki chicken burger.
The new Laki Kane will have a 3am licence and a dancefloor, creating a more ‘club-focused atmosphere’.
Radev was formerly creative manager at London’s Mahiki nightclub, which is said to inspire the new iteration of Laki Kane. Mahiki closed in 2021.
EBH Holdings acquired Mahiki last year, with plans to relaunch the brand internationally.
