The Simultaneo cocktail bar at Hotel Plaza in Barcelona has implemented the SaaS (Software as a Service) solution Cocktail Club Pro to help reduce its staff workload by up to 20%.

According to the bar manager of Simultaneo, the most costly aspect of managing a bar isn’t the high-end liquors or spirits, but rather the valuable time spent.

In bars and beverage-focused restaurants, bar managers dedicate weeks to training new employees and refreshing staff knowledge about wine presentations and cocktail recipes.

Repetitive tasks also include delegating checklists to the team and preparing for upcoming events.

Like many urban hotel bars, Simultaneo manages staff rotation, offers menus tailored to different events, and caters to demanding clients. Mistakes result in lost time and diminished guest satisfaction.

To address daily challenges and improve work efficiency, the bar manager at Simultaneo has adopted Cocktail Club’s new all-in-one hospitality and recipe management platform for hotels, developed by industry experts.

Cocktail Club Pro is designed to simplify time-consuming tasks related to bar service, such as checklists, training, and organisation. The tool is said to integrate three key elements for running a successful bar: expertise, organisation, and quality.

At Simultaneo, the application allows both the manager and staff to digitally manage opening and closing routines, ongoing training, and checklists. Furthermore, the system helps staff stay accountable and organised while allowing them to work from anywhere at any time.

Since adopting Cocktal Club Pro, the bar has reportedly seen positive results across its operations, including an organised workflow that keeps each employee up to date with their tasks, and the ability for bar managers to monitor completed tasks more effectively.

Additionally, event planning and preparation have become easier, and the team has improved its knowledge and skills regarding wine lists and cocktails.

By organising workflow with Cocktail Club Pro, the bar has reportedly seen an increase in sales through better, more efficient service without unnecessary interruptions.

Kai Myhre, founder of Cocktail Club, said: “Now, Simultaneo is ready for 2026. We have calculated that we reduced the daily workload of the bar staff by 10-20% thanks to Cocktail Club Pro. New hires are learning independently, and onboarding times are cut by up to 50%.

“Even we notice the change during service; less attention is on corrections, and more attention is where it matters – on guests and revenue.”
