Margarita Mile to take on central London
By Lauren BowesEl Tequileño’s Margarita Mile 2026 will take place across more than 45 UK venues between 16 February and 16 March.

The 2025 edition managed to bag the Best Event of the Year prize at The Spirits Business Awards. It was “deemed perfect for those looking for a spin on a classic pub crawl with a delicious Tequila twist.”
On-trade venues will serve up exclusive El Tequileño Margaritas, showcasing the iconic cocktail through bespoke menus, events and innovative twists.
The main celebrations will take place during Mile Week (16-22 February) ahead of National Margarita Day on 22 February.
El Tequileño anticipates 2026 being the event’s biggest year yet, with three official Miles taking place in Manchester, east London, and central London.
The event began in Manchester in 2023, and expanded to Leeds and east London last year.
This year will be the first time the event makes its way to central London.
The event also launched a Hong Kong Mile in 2025 as its first international outing.
Confirmed venues for 2026 include Soho’s Café Pacifico, east London’s Homies on Donkeys, and Manchester’s New Century.
Margarita Mile maps are available at all participating venues, encouraging consumers to visit new venues and share their journey online.
This year’s edition also features curated drinks partners to encourage cocktail innovations. These include Casa D’Aristi Narano: a bitter orange liqueur crafted in Yucatán, Mexico; ODK, a range of premium purées, syrups and mixers; and Stillabunt Magic Velvet, a vegan, alcohol-free foamer.
Key events include a Margarita party on 19 February at Shochu Lounge in London. The party will feature fusion cocktails, a DJ, and the chance to win a bottle of El Tequileño Platinum.
East London’s Corrochio’s will also host a party on 21 February, with tacos, tostadas and a piñata filled with El Tequileño merch. The first 50 attendees will receive a complimentary Margarita.
Steffin Oghene, vice-president of business development for El Tequileño, said: “Each year, the Margarita Mile grows, and we’re incredibly proud that it is now an award-winning campaign.
“Our goal has always been to share a love of craft Tequila while connecting Brits with the hospitality trade. With some of the best bars and bartenders in the world, it’s more important than ever to inspire the UK public to get out, enjoy the Mile, and raise a Margarita.”
